My Individual Opening

Welcome! Today I will be telling you about my process in my individual opening. Every person in our group had to construct and edit their own opening, with the same shots and concept. After, we will then review each other's work and give some feedback on what we wanted to include in our final opening, and what we didn't.  Giving feedback to my group members was probably the most challenging part. Hear me out. Although there were some things that I liked that they included. It was hard to take a stand and say what I didn't like. I think we all felt this way. From the way we put in our credits, to the shot sequences, we all had very different ideas of what we thought our opening was going to be.  But luckily we found our rhythm. We were going through each shot and discussing where we should place it in the opening. This really helped. We also had to remember that constructive criticism and judgment to a certain extent is okay. It's okay to state your opinion and learn to

Production Animation

Welcome back! Today I will be telling you about my production animation process for our opening. Starting off, as a class we were going to use a software called "Blender" to create our animation but because it was too difficult to figure out in the time span that we had, we resulted in using "CapCut". We completed our individual animations and chose which ones we wanted to incorporate in the opening. "CapCut" wasn't as hard to figure out. It only took me about 20 to 30 minutes to create my animation. Here is the result: We ended up choosing my animation to be in the opening. Sources: CapCut

Production Process

Welcome! Today I will be telling you about my production process. I was excited to finally start filming the week leading up. My group and I split up the number of supplies we wanted to incorporate in the film. I was in charge of getting the crime scene tape, which I found surprisingly at Home Depot. My other group members brought white chalk and fake blood. We finalized the supplies on a Friday, that way we were able to have time to get the supplies on the weekend.  Week 1:  February 21-25 We decided to start filming the day we came back. But because all of our shots are exterior shots, we had to wait until the next day to get permission to begin filming. On the second day, we did film but we weren't sold on our shots. It didn't look right, it looked rushed. We planned on doing the fake blood scenes first, and that was our first downfall. Starting off, we should have done the non-bloody shots first. We realized this in our second week of filming. But you have to make mistakes

Stage 4 of Final Project

This is the fourth step of completing my portfolio. This will mostly consist of my filming process. During the filming process, I was the filmier because my group members were the actors. I was able to film from my phone. As a group, we decided to use our phones to film. This made it much easier to set up and made it accessible at all times, instead of using the regular cannon camera. It was more convenient for us, as we are also filming outside in school. Not to mention, it is easier to film from your phone instead of a camera which might require me to watch tutorials to learn how to work the camera. This was the preferable choice. When using production tech, I learned that lighting and camera angles matter. For instance, one of the problems that we ran into was, when I was trying to film an over-the-shoulder shot of a conversation through the phone. As I was filming my group member's phone turned dark as I was filming. As a group, we had to stop and find a solution. We changed o
